Murals, neon, wall wraps and signage
Environmental design
Spaces people walk into: hand-painted murals and custom neon for Hawkers restaurants, and large-format wall wraps, vehicle wraps and billboards for UCF.
The brief
At both Hawkers and UCF, a big part of the job was turning walls into part of the brand. At Hawkers, every restaurant needed to feel like stepping onto a street in Asia. At UCF, campus spaces and public places across Orlando needed to carry the university brand at a large scale.
My role
I designed most of these pieces myself and drew them by hand before they went up on the walls. At Hawkers I also painted multiple murals on location by hand. At UCF I designed wall wraps, wayfinding and out-of-home campaigns.
The system
- Layered street posters at Hawkers, hand-installed on the walls to recreate the way ads stack on top of each other on the streets of Asia
- Custom neon signs for Hawkers restaurants
- Hand-painted murals, done on location
- Wall wraps at the UCF Downtown campus and Millican Hall
- Wayfinding for UCF
- Wall wraps at Orlando International Airport (MCO)
- Bus wraps and billboards
