Role

The project’s objective was to enhance user trust, streamline navigational flows, and incorporate high-quality imagery that allows users to envision themselves utilizing the service.

The Problem

Asbestos.com is a comprehensive website rich with knowledge-based content, similar to WebMD or Wikipedia. However, for most users in the target demographic of 65 and older, the vast amount of information can be overwhelming. Currently, the site struggles to guide users efficiently to the content they need.

The Solution

  • Clearly visible trust signals to quickly build trust.
  • More visible CTA, driving users to the free guide, the site’s highest-converting element.
  • User segments are created for patients, caregivers, and medical professionals to help users find relevant content easily.
  • The enhanced search functionality helps users locate specific information not in the top navigation and that may be difficult to find.

Before & After

The left page displays the old layout, while the right showcases the new design.

  • Using blue exclusively for CTAs.
  • Features custom video content instead of stock imagery.
  • New components are introduced (highlighted below) to better guide users.

Before and After

New Navigation Component

  • Increased emphasis on search.
  • Most visited pages broken down by user type.
  • More friendly and engaging heading copy.

New Comparison Component

Many users find doctors or lawyers on Asbestos.com and contact them directly. However, our comparison tool shows the benefits of using our patient advocates, leading to more case signings.

Mobile Mockups

Mobile functionality

The current site is quite static, so I wanted to add animations to make it more dynamic and engaging.
